What is the meaning of Easter eggs?

An egg is a symbol of new life. For Christians, Easter eggs are used as a symbol for the resurrection of Jesus. Christians believe that, through his resurrection, Jesus overcame death and sin. This offers people the promise of eternal life if they follow his teachings. Nowadays, most Easter eggs are made from chocolate and covered in coloured foil.

Where did Easter come from?

The origin of some of the Gentile Christians began celebrating Easter in the nearest Sunday to the Passover since Jesus actually arose on a Sunday. This especially became the case in the western part of the Roman Empire. In Rome itself, different congregations celebrated Easter on different days!

MONTHLY LEVY PAYMENT R1500,00

The monthly levy amount due on the 1st of every month is R1 500,00. Levies are used for the day to day running of our upmarket Estate. Residents are to contact and inform Coleman Properties should they not be receiving their monthly levy statement at ar @colprop.co.za. or, unable to pay their levy account where suitable arrangements can be made.

MONTHLY FINANCIAL INFORMATION

OUSTANDING LEVIES

There are Residents whose accounts are in arrears:

1 Resident x R6 194,00

2 Resident x R3 836,00

MCHA has R18 356,94 outstanding on our debtors and would appreciate residents bringing their levies up to date as levies are critical in the upkeep of our Estate.

This is problematic for the cashflow management of the Estate and defeats the purpose of what we aim to do; which is to maintain the Estate in the best manner possible, keep the finances at a positive whilst building the reserve towards the targeted amount. We urge all defaulters to please bring these arrears up to date to avoid legal action. Please be reminded that the legal cost associated with pursuing this route will be for your own accounts (the Residents in arrears as per the Rules of the Estate and MOI), and hence we want to eliminate any and all unnecessary costs and effort by all parties. However, we will pursue this option if we have exhausted all other

amicable avenues to resolve the non-payment of levies. We appreciate that the economic conditions are deteriorating, and the inflation is rising at unprecedented levels. However, our levies remain exceptionally low and affordable comparatively speaking. So we would like to encourage all Residents to bear the safety, comfort and beauty of the Estate at all times., and do the correct thing.

In general, the MCHA Board of Directors have a better control on both the cash in and out flows and we aim to give you a more detailed update at the upcoming AGM (exact date still to be determined).

No member shall be entitled to any of the privileges of Membership unless all levies have been paid, special levy and interest thereto which may be due and payable by that member to MCHA, from whatsoever cause arising.

EXIT CODES - IMPORTANT

RESIDENTS TO ENSURE VISITORS HAVE EXIT CODE

We would like residents to be mindful and respectful of fellow Residents, visitors and deliveries and follow procedures to ensure a smooth traffic flow.

We have noticed that Residents refuse or forget to give their visitors exit codes and is causing congestion and chaos at the EXIT side of the Estate. This creates a bad reflection on the Security as they have to phone the Resident for a code and disrupts a smooth exit out of the Estate. However, we are also aware on the non-delivery of codes in instances when there is loadshedding, and we request your patience when such occurs.

MOI

MOI – We thank Residents for their comments and input for the updated MOI to make our Estate an Enjoyable Township.  Attached please find the updated MOI which will be presented at the AGM for voting purposes.

WASTE REMOVAL

We do not receive a weekly schedule when the bins are to be collected. Should you the Resident want to be updated on various issues around Meyersdal you may join the WhatsApp Chat group - tps://chat.whatsapp.com/H7mbbg6465TEpW9O7KYVWp.

Please place bins outside on Wednesdays as previous schedule. Do not leave bins on pavements after collection has taken place.

PAVEMENTS AND PAVED AREAS

This serves as a reminder to all Residents to attend to

their pavements on a weekly basis by keeping them

neat, tidy and free of weeds.

MCHA SPEED LIMIT REMINDER

Most estates are an extremely safe enviroment and have many pedestrians, children and pets on the street at any given point in time.

Speed limits are set low to take this into account and to create a culture of adherence to speed limits. We have been challenged in the past few months with non-adherence to speed limits, and the Directors had to engage the concerned Residents for the safety of all concerned.

Residents need to lead by example, and consequently advise their visitors of the Rules of the Estate.

SECURITY

Residents are urged to report any incidents immediately to the Guard House or Estate Manager. The Guard House number is 076 878 4836. The Guards have a panic button and Protective Force Security will send out their patrol vehicle to assist with any potential challenge. Do not wait until the following day to report any security incidents. Please capture this number in your mobile phone/s in case of emergencies.
