AUTUMN IN SOUTH AFRICA
Autumn is the most enjoyable season in the country. Autumn in South Africa manifests in the light showers that are in most cases accompanied by heavy clouds. During this season, the country experiences warm shine during the day and moderate rainfalls. The nights during autumn are usually cold. In April, some places experience foggy days since the temperatures drop gradually from the onset of autumn. Another statement characteristic of autumn is the yellow color on branches of trees. The weather during this period is convenient enough for harvesting sugarcane, cotton, and corn. During this season, the highest that the temperatures in Cape Town can reach is 19 degrees Celsius.

ENTRANCE UPLIFTMENT OPTION A

ENTRANCE UPLIFTMENT OPTION B

MCHA would like to thank those residents that sent in their proxies and attended the SGM held on the 26th of March 2024.
Carel Fourie presented the current state of the entrance, mentioned the problem of rain affecting the guards, and introduced two options for the upgrade.
Option One was described as modern and striking, while option two was presented as more timeless and robust design.
Cost for each structure being around R800,000 with no significant cost difference between option one and two.
Funding for the project will come from the Savings Account which currently has 2 million rand.
The proposed upgrade would involve alterations to the existing structure and not a complete demolition.
Permission would be obtained from the council and adjacent owners and timelines for the construction. Estimated time frame for the construction is two to three months.
The inconvenience of travel during construction was acknowledged as a relatively small inconvenience considering the options available.
Voting outcome:
Option A – 28 in favour Option B – 5 in favour
It was confirmed that with the majority vote by members present and proxies Option A to be selected.
